Six aspiring public safety professionals are on their way to a state competition after excelling in their category at the Texas Public Service Association (TPSA) regional contest.
TPSA is a non-profit organization for high school students that promotes law, public safety, corrections and security students with knowledge and skills through real-world career experience.
Congratulations to the following Ben Barber Innovation Academy students for advancing to the state meet:
- Melchor Gonzalez - Foot Pursuit (first place)
- Deja’Nya Williams - Fingerprint Comparison and Analysis (first place)
- Aliera Alliss, Diana Fernandez and Desiree Salazar – Crime Scene Investigation (second place)
- Diana Fernandez, Emily Coker and Deja’Nya Williams - Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (second place)
