Future Business Professionals Earn Spot in State Competition

Nine Mansfield ISD students competed in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) regional competition, and all nine of them have qualified for the state round.

The students won a total of 18 awards. They are now preparing to compete in the State Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi, which will be held Feb. 28 through March 3.

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Mohammed Ahmed – Frontier High School (junior)
  • Sean Darby – Legacy High School (sophomore)
  • Neil Goswami – Mansfield High School (junior)
  • Noah Liukonen – Frontier High School (junior)
  • Brandon McBride – Mansfield High School (sophomore)
  • Shane McBride- Mansfield High School (senior)
  • Payton Parrish – Frontier High School (senior)
  • Putra Ratuwina – Mansfield High School (sophomore)
  • Ethan Rozak – Legacy High School (junior)

The sponsor for MISD’s BPA team is Susan Sevier, business teacher at Ben Barber Innovation Academy.

BPA is an organization for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration and other related career fields. Its missions is to contribute to the preparation of global professionals through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills.
