Ben Barber Business Professionals of America (BPA) Students Advance to State!

We are very excited to share the BPA regional results this past weekend. These students were able to adapt and overcome the challenge of submitting their team presentations, practical labs, and exams virtually due to the ice storm.

Individual Events:

Java Programming

1st Place: Rayan Omar (12th grade, THS)

2nd Place: Vishal Pentela (12th grade, FSA)

Device Configuration & Troubleshooting

Team Events:

Network Design Team: 

This team won 1st place at regionals and was asked to design a network expansion for a VR gaming company out of Seattle, WA, looking to expand to the following cities. Austin, TX, Portland, OR, and Raleigh, NC.  This was a complex project that took many after-school hours to meet strict technical requirements on top of practicing the presentation with excitement, confidence, and purpose.

Video Production Team:

This team was tasked to create a presentation with a 3-5 minute video on the growing demand for CTE education, highlighting CTE pathways such as Automotive, Welding, HVAC, and Construction/Electrical. This team is a state alternate in 4th Place. Shout out to Mr. Green, Mr. Sherwood, and Mrs. Smitherman for allowing my students to record their classes in November 2025.
